The Hartman Brisket Board with Knife

Had a beautifully figured Walnut billet, except one it had a major flaw right in the middle.  Could cut it out and glue it back up, OR...  make a big deal out of it and cut out the flaw, glue up a hickory/walnut sandwich and glue that between them,  then cut the board in half again on a radius, glue those 2 pieces back together with another sandwich piece again, and a 3rd time to make it symmetrical again, easy, what could go wrong?    Bought the knife steel from Rockler and made the handle from the waste of the walnut board.  Walnut provided by our friends at Bruton Tree Service.

Wood is finished with Cicerone's own, food-grade cutting board conditioner,  so you know its good.
